I'm Kate, a creative property investor with 30+ years experience in property purchasing, renovating, building and renting in the private sector in both the UK and Europe. Designing beautiful spaces is my passion, transforming each project to maximise both aesthetic appeal and long-term value.

What I Do

I invest in a variety of properties, adding value through creative thinking, smart strategy and striking design. I work in tandem with property management companies who oversee the day-to-day running of my businesses, allowing me to focus on building my portfolio.

I operate both independently and in partnership on projects including Buy-to-Let, Commercial property, Serviced Accommodation and Holiday Lets.

My Background

At 22, I realised I wasn’t cut out for the 9-5 so, with a paint brush and a big vision I started my own business.

First, starting as a decorator, then renovating my own properties, learning new, practical skills as I grew, from plumbing and joinery through to negotiating property deals. That journey grew into decades of experience, buying and transforming many homes. I trained in fine art at Edinburgh College of Art, followed by Interior Design studies.

In the last 20+ years, I have redirected my strategy from transforming and selling properties, to specialising in turning under-loved spaces into unique and high performing short lets and long stays. I use my artistic eye, bold taste and my instinct for design to optimise spaces.

I always ask myself one thing: would I want to stay here? If the answer’s no, the job’s not done. That’s the level of integrity I bring to every project.
